HOW IT WORKS

HELP PEOPLE by providing informational answers to health questions from our community of members and review your colleagues answers.

JOIN THE HEALTHTAP MEDICAL GROUP so you can increase your income through providing high-quality, compassionate virtual primary & urgent care.

PROVIDE PRIMARY CARE AND/OR URGENT CARE to patients via video visits. Complete each visit with a personalized treatment plan, including prescriptions, specialist recommendations, and lab tests, when appropriate.

TEXT WITH YOUR PRIMARY CARE PATIENTS to improve patient experiences and help build and maintain great doctor-patient relationships.

ELIMINATE THE WAITING ROOM by scheduling primary care appointment times that work best for your patients and by giving them quick access to urgent care requests 365 days a year.

FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS — providing great care — by taking advantage of intuitive, time-saving features, such as the app’s task management dashboards and doctor-friendly design.

WHAT DOCTORS ARE SAYING
“HealthTap provides an invaluable service, and I’m proud to be part of it.” - Dr. Veres

“HealthTap is a great experience!! It is absolutely awesome to be able to help people on such a global level. That’s what we all went to medical school for, to help people, and HealthTap gives us a great forum to do just that, on such an amazing level.” - Dr. Ferranti

“When I share the mission statement and vision of HealthTap to other doctors, it has been transformative offline! I’ve had doctors come up, hug me, and thank me for introducing them to HealthTap at the medical school where I teach” - Dr. Iwata

Pros and cons of HealthTap for Doctors app for iPhone and iPad

HealthTap for Doctors app good for

The app is very user friendly. Only recommendation would be to allow for landscape mode. Unfortunately with the iPad app stuck in portrait mode, using keyboard case is very difficult/limited.
The Health Tap app makes it easy to connect with a doctor on demand and look up the latest health tips and advice for any health related questions. As a physician I love the app as it allows me to answer questions and do consultations right from my smart phone. Welcome to the 21st century!
The worlds best app for doctors just got better - now supporting multiparticipant video consults, with connection to translators who provide access to HealthTap-connected doctors for people who speak other languages.
I have been using this app for a few months now and its gotten significantly better each time. HealthTap never fails to impress me.
HealthTap is my absolute favorite health app. It is a great, safe service for doctors and gives us a great chance to help people in our spare time. Simple and easy to use. Now with the new HealthTap Prime and Concierge its an easy way to expand telemedicine and to generate revenue. Very exciting for the future of health and medicine
There is a lot doctors can get out of helping patients on HealthTap. HealthTap is fun, interesting, and always adding new features. Thank you very much.

Some bad moments

HealthTap for Doctors has always thought very highly of itself. Its like going to a basketball game where the flashing lights, color commentary, and video and audio displays make the actual play on the court look dull and wan by comparison. But at least it more or less worked. This latest version is supposed to be a big update and improvement. Maybe it will be eventually, but it isnt yet. It is buggy and balky. Needs a bit of work before its ready for prime time.
HealthTap for Doctors is a great state of the art app that helps patients as well as doctors in several ways. Doctors can answer general health questions that benefit thousands of patients. Doctors can also invite their own patients and respond to curbside private consults. Telemedicine, Telehealth is a great tool to improve access. HealthTap for Doctors provides the perfect platform to implement Telehealth and Concierge Medicine in your practice. I have used several Telemedicine apps. Healthtap is by far the best and most comprehensive app I have used. It makes implementation and documentation a seamless process. The video conferencing is of superb quality. Doctors are also able to use Healthtap to review and recommend apps for their patients and colleagues. It also enables doctors to publish care guides for common medical conditions and review the usefulness of various treatments. It is a fun app that makes you feel good and do good. It is a must have app.
GOOD. COULD BE MUCH BETTER WITH ABILITY TO VIEW IT IN LANDSCAPE MODE! WHATS THE PROBLEM HERE? AND WHY CANT I SEE IT ON MY COMPUTER? Jerome Z Litt, MD
This is pretty good so far. I have two suggestions to make it even easier to use: 1. Arrange for an autorotate so when I use my iPad in a horizontal or landscape mode (which is always due to my attached keyboard) I dont have to twist my neck awkwardly to read it. 2. The feedback via notifications is nice, but it would be better if the feedback was included on the same page as the answer that I provided. In other words, the notification says something like "Thank you for...", please click for your answer. I dont always remember my answer, so I click, but then I dont have the patients response. I then have to click back to see it again. These are small things, but they would improve the user experience significantly.
Good concept, a bit cluttered and confusing to use. Clean it up and simplify please.
I am just wondering if it is illegal for me to bill health tap patients who are Medicare recipients if I am a Medicare provider? Would CMS approve of this? It it seems that if I am a Medicare provider I would have to provide the Medicare health tap patient with an ABN form at least.
